Morning Song – Storm Front

March 14, 2017

Oh sure, Billy Joel used his extensive knowledge of nautical safety procedures and northwestern Atlantic weather conditions as an extended metaphor for his own bewildering (to himself) life choices at middle age, when he wrote “Storm Front”.

But with a late season blizzard (and 80 mph winds offshore) striking this blog’s little corner of the world today, we’re taking the metaphor back and applying it to today’s weather:

We’ve got a low pressure system and a northeast breeze;
We’ve got a falling barometer and rising seas;
We’ve got the cumulonimbus and a possible gale;
We’ve got a force nine blowing on the Beaufort scale.
