Kudos to Barry Ritholtz for his masterful takedown in the wake of Welch’s baseless charge that the Obama administration “cooked the books” when the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last Friday that unemployment had dropped to 7.8%.
Welch knows a thing or two about unemployment. During his 18 year tenure as CEO, General Electric eliminated nearly 100,000 American jobs.
